HOW IT WORKS
PRODUCTS
VENETIAN BLIND
- Fully equipped system
- Aluminum body
- Certified inverter
- Operating temperature down to −20 °C
- Wind resistance
- 2-year warranty
- 10-year service life
The exterior of SolarGaps is made of durable aluminum, and the solar panels are connected by a strong steel cable for protection from the wind. If necessary (for example, when weather conditions worsen), the blinds fold completely into a metal housing. The system is connected to the grid via an inverter, a device that converts direct current into alternating current, compatible with most power grids in the world. Immediately after connection, solar energy begins to enter the grid, reducing electricity consumption by the number of Watts generated by the solar cells of the blinds.
SOLAR PANELS
- highly efficient solar cells
- long-lasting ETFE coating
- power output up to 100 W/m²
- 25-year lifespan
- Swiss aluminum slats
MOBILE APPLICATION
- iOS and Android support
- Wi-Fi control
- Performance reports
- Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant integration
You can manage your SolarGaps system and receive performance reports using a convenient mobile application. You can use automatic mode or control the system by choosing the position of the slats yourself. Even if you are in another part of the world, you still have the option to lower or raise the blinds to simulate your presence for security reasons or in case of adverse weather conditions. A high-quality Wi-Fi signal with a speed of at least 1 Mbps is required for the application to work properly. You can view system performance reports in the most convenient way for you, on your mobile phone or PC. The application is available for iOS (11 or later) and Android (4.4 or later). The system is fully compatible and can be integrated with smart home systems. Smart blinds will wake you up in the morning and keep you comfortable at night, and to change their position, just ask your virtual assistant.
ENGINE AND ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT
- world leader in motors
- high durability
- operating temperature down to –30 °C
- quiet operation
The electronic control unit ensures control of the blinds via a smartphone or a “smart home” control system. All data is transmitted to a cloud storage, which allows you to manage the system remotely, for example, when you are away. Thanks to the coordinated operation of the control unit with the motor, it was possible to implement the sun tracking function for the most efficient energy production and shading at the same time. The long-life Somfy motor can operate at temperatures down to -30 ° C, even thanks to its connection to the mains. The motor consumes only a small amount of electricity, which is more than the solar cells of the blinds can produce. The noise level is quite low, and since the SolarGaps system is installed outside, the motor is almost inaudible from inside the room.
INVERTER
- Fixed system component
- Converts DC to AC
- Certified to quality standards
- Quiet operation
A voltage converter is an automatic device that converts direct current into alternating current. Without an inverter, the use of solar energy generated by the panels is impossible, as it is not compatible with the home electrical network. Smart solar blinds SolarGaps are connected to the system using certified high-quality microinverters. The cost of the inverter is calculated separately for each system, since the parameters of the necessary equipment depend on the size of the blinds in each individual case. For your convenience, the inverter is already connected to the system, you just need to plug the device into the outlet.
The length of the wire is equal to the height of the window plus another 1.5 meters, which allows you to conveniently connect the system to the network. The high-quality Japanese inverters used by us do not make noise during operation and can be installed in inconspicuous places, for example, under the window sill.
REMOTE CONTROL
- no wiring
- 868.95 MHz radio protocol
- range up to 30 m indoors
- compatible with mobile app
From now on, SolarGaps can also be managed using the EnOcean management system. When you press the button, a mechanism is activated that converts kinetic energy into electrical energy.
A wireless mobile control button that does not require batteries provides
convenient control of SolarGaps blinds. With this switch, you will be able to
control the angle of inclination of the solar panels, as well as raise or lower them.
The control button can be ordered separately and used together with a mobile application, where you can always monitor the generation and control the blinds from anywhere in the world.
